Appointed editor of the Pioneer of India, 1872. Became interested in theosophical movement, 1879. Wrote The Occult World, 1881. Esoteric Buddhism, 1883. President of the London branch of the Theosophical Society. Author of two novels founded on occult ideas, Karma and United. In 1896 published The Growth of the Soul. Brought out new monthly review called Broad Views, 1904. Ceased publication, 1907.
