Alice Bugni was born in 1951, in Juneau, Alaska, United States.
Born in Juneau, raised in Seattle, Alice moved to Hawaii after high school and stayed there for eight years before coming back to Alaska. Upon returning Alice received her education in Kodiak Community College on an associate of arts degree. She took a prerequisite expository writing course with Professor Leslie Fields, who taught her the skills of a writer. Alice also attended the University of Washington.
In 1974 Alice worked on the Alyeska Pipeline Service Company, after which she stayed in Alaska to work as an airline stewardess for Wien Air Alaska (now Wien Airlines). Later she moved to the position of a long-distance operator for Alascom.
Alice released three books: "Moose Racks, Bear Tracks, and Other Alaska Kidsnacks", "Beluga Whales, Grizzly Tales, and More Alaska Kidsnacks" and Sourdough for Starters.
