Graduate Berkeley School, New New York 1891. E M., School of Mines (Columbia), 1896. Honorary Doctor Engineering, South Dakot School of Mines, 1940.

Career

Engineer with Tennessee Coal. Iron & Railroad Company, 1896. Metallurgist with Homestake Mining Company, 1897-1927, chief metallurgist since 1907.

Consultant practice: retired. 1943. State chairman for South Dakot, Naval Cons. Board, 1915.

Works

  • Contributor papers on metallurgical of gold. Awarded Consolidated Goldfields medal, Institution Mining and Metallurgy (London), for paper “Metallurgy of the Homestake Ores.” of which was co-author.
