Career
Alonso entered the pageant held on November 18, 2006 in Guatemala. Alonso, 24, a month later competed in, debuted as Costa Rica"s first contestant sent to Mister World where he finished as 3rd runner up on March 31, 2007, in Sanya, People"s Republic of China. He is the currently the highest placed Mister Costa Rica at Mister World and the first to make the finals.
At the end of 2007 Beauty Mania conducted an online all male pageant where Alonso was voted by viewers as Mister Handsome 2007.
At age 27, Alonso return to the stage to compete in held in Plaza International Hotel, Taichung, Taiwan on December 19, 2009 where 29 contestants competed for the title. Although unplaced, Alonso is the first man to compete in Mister World Model, Mister World, Manhunt International, and Mister International.
Alonso is an international model and assistant manager with a license in business administration. He has high ambitions to be an important businessman who can benefit the national economy holding a business administration college degree.
Alonso started modeling commercials at the age of 4 through 12, then 19 shooting photos for Levi"s Jeans.
Alonso speaks Spanish, French and English. He currently works as a print and runway model.
