Alyssa received her education at University of Kansas in 1988. She also graduated from State University of New York at Bufalo in 1994.
Career
Alyssa started her career as an assistant editor at Dial Books for Young Readers in New York City in 1989. Then she worked as an associate editor at Holiday House in New York City since 1990 till 1992.
Alyssa works as a freelance copy writer, proofreader, copy editor, and researcher since 1990. She also works for Riverfront Times (newspaper) and St. Louis Magazine as a copy editor/ writer since 1995.
Alyssa worked for Buffalo Spree (magazine) as an associate editor from 1992 to 1995. In 1995 she was also a teaching artist and docent coordinator and tour-guide at Arts in Education Institute of Western New York, Cheektowaga.
