Chief engineer Gettysburg & Harrisburg R.R., 1882-1891, Brooklyn, Bath & Coney Island R.R., 1885-1889. Consulting engineer Great Falls Water Power Company, North Carolina, 1889-1893. Studied European transportation systems, rys. and common roads and highways, 1894-1895.

Member civil service board examiners, department municipal engineering, Philadelphia. Consulting engineer St. Maurice Syndicate, Quebec, exploration and development of mineral deposits, Hudson’s Bay region, Transcontinental Railway, Canada, since 1910. Mapped the topography and geologic sections of South Mountains, Pennsylvania.
