In 1881-1885 he worked in Irkutsk. He played in other provincial troupes, including in Kiev, Kazan, Saratov.
At the end of the XIX - beginning of the XX century he toured in the city of Voronezh, where he played the roles of Zhadov ("Profitable place" by Alexander Nikolaevich Ostrovsky), Chatsky ("Woe from Wit" Alexander Sergeevich Griboyedov) and other characters.
Since 1903 he was the actor of the Theater of Literary and Artistic Society in St. Petersburg. Among the roles: Uriel Acosta in the play of the same name by Karl Gutskov, Fedor Ioannovich ("Tsar Fedor Ioannovich" by Alexei Tolstoy) and others.
