Anatoly Alekseevich graduated from the Kiev Conservatory in the composition class of Professor P.M. Glier, in the conduction class of Professor L.P. Steinberg (1924).
Anatoly Alekseevich began musical activity in 1917 as an artist of the Kiev Opera orchestra. He worked as a conductor (1924-1943) of opera houses in Kiev (he toured with the theater in Voronezh in July 1928, where he conducted performances: "Aida" by Giuseppe Verdi, "Eugene Onegin", "The Queen of Spades” Pyotr Tchaikovsky, "The Tales of Hoffmann" by Jacques Offenbach , "Trilby" Alexander Yurasovsky, "Prince Igor" Alexander Borodin and others), Rostov-on-Don, Simferopol, Baku, Sverdlovsk (toured with the theater in May-July 1931 in Voronezh, where he conducted performances: "The Barber of Seville" by Gioachino Rossini, "Faust" by Charles Gounod, "Rigoletto" by Giuseppe Verdi, "Floria Tosca" Giacomo Puccini, and others). Anatoly Alekseevich organized symphony orchestras, taught at the conservatory, and music school, toured in many cities of the USSR. He has staged over 150 performances, including almost all the opera classics. The repertoire of Lyudmilin included a number of symphonic programs of Russian and foreign composers.
