Anatoly Ignatievich Matveevsky worked in schools of the Rostov Region, Dagestan, Krasnodar Krai and Stavropol Krai (1950-1977). He returned to Voronezh in the late 1980s.
His works have been published since 1959 (Makhachkala, Dagestan SSR). His works were published in the almanac "Stavropol" (1960-1972), "Kiev children's magazine" "Malyatko", "Barvinok", "Pioneers" (1980-1986).
