Career
She had previously edited the monthly newsletter, Computer Notes, for Microsoft"s first customer Micro Instrumentation and Telemetry Systems (MITS). She left the company in 1983. She is now a freelance writer and she helped build a literary center, Richard Hugo House, named after poet Richard Hugo.
