Mold fermentations; gluconic, lactic, kojic, glauconic, citric and itaconic acids from glucose. Penicillin. Devised methods for producing substantial increase in yields of penicillin, making large scale production possible.
Discovered methanol process for submerged mold fermentation of crude carbohydrates to citric acid.
