He received his first musical instruction at the Music School for Children in his home city, and went on to study under Professor East. Poukst at the Byelorussian College of Music. Under his guidance Andrey Shibko took also post-graduate course there (1997-1999). In 1996 Andrey Shibko gave a recital in the framework of “The Great Performers Series”(together with Andre Watts, Janos Starker, Kathleen Battle, Juilliard String Quartet) as well as performance with Doctorate’Angelo Symphony Orchestra (Tchaikovsky Piano Concerto Number 1,conductor-Frank Collura) at the Doctorate’Angelo Art Performing Center. Also,he is laureate of famous International Piano Competitions in Europe: Porto (1998,1 prize), Géza Anda (Zürich, 2000,3rd prize), World Competition in London (2002, 3rd prize). Thanks to these victories his concert activity is extensive – he played in United States of America, Japan, of Korea, China, Germany, Italy, Poland, Portugal,Spain, Switzerland,Austria,England.
Many famous orchestras invited him as a soloist: of Zürich (Tonhalle Orchestra under Lawrence Foster), Winterthur (Stadtorchester under Vladimir Ashkenazy),London Philharmonic Orchestra(under Tomasz Bugaj),Porto National, Doctorate’Angelo, Chautauqua, Osaka, Thuringia et cetera
He participated in festivals: Carintischer Sommer(Austria), Viersener Klaviersommer (Germany),Maratea Musica (Italy), played in Santory Hall (Tokyo), Queen Elizabeth Hall, Royal Festival Hall (London), Tonhalle (Zurich). Andrey Shibko has records on Civil Defense, Radio and television He often plays in chamber music concerts as well as performances with singers.He travel a lot as a soloist and with masterclasses in Russia, Europe and Asia.
In 1993 he gave first performance of Sonata f sharp minor(1903) of Igor Stravinsky in Russia(Small Hall of the Moscow Conservatory). Since 1999 he has been teacher at piano faculty of the Moscow State Conservatory.
