Nikolay Ivanovich Sizov studied piano with N.K. Metner, A.N. Koreshchenko. In 1914 he graduated from the Moscow Conservatory, with a large silver medal in piano class K.N. Igumnova, according to the composition class N.K. Medtner.
Since 1915 he lived in the city of Voronezh, a piano teacher at the Music College, Conservatory, performed in concerts. Among the students - M.S. Zverev, V.M. Morozova. In 1919 (according to other sources - in 1918) he returned to Moscow, until 1922 he was in military service. In subsequent years he became a famous theater composer.
The author of the music for the play by the Princess Vakhtangov Theater “Princess Turandot”. The list of compositions also includes over 30 songs and romances, film music, an oratorio, piano pieces and other compositions. The author of memoirs about N.K.
