Andrey Tarkov graduated from the Faculty of Geology of Moscow State University in 1954.
Career
In 1954-1956, Andrey Tarkov was a senior geologist, the head of the detachment Abakan Geological and Physical Office of the Sibneftegaz Trust in Novosibirsk. In 1959-1961, he had the position of the chief geologist of the Far Eastern Geological and Physical Expedition of the All-Union Scientific Research Institute of Geophysical Methods of Mineral Exploration. Since 1961, Andrey Tarkov was an associate professor of the Department of Exploration and Minerals and, since 1962, associate professor, head of the department of geophysical methods search and exploration of mineral deposits (since 1981).
