After Navarette and Hernando, missionaries, were burnt at the stake (1617) he arrived at Nagasaki together with six other missionaries (1618) and immediately went into hiding. He was, however, shortly after arrested while hiding in a Korean's house and after three years of imprisonment was burnt at the stake together with another missionary named Juan.
