Anup Kumar Gangopadhyay, American Materials scientist, physicist. Achievements include discovery of superconducting materials, new fullerene compound; reported first pressure dependence of Tc in Hg-high-Tc superconductor; discovered magnetism in an arch-typical heavy-fermion compound Cecu6; contributed to the understanding of flux-pinning in high Tc superconductors.
