Anwar F. Accawi is an American educator and author. He is an ELI Professor Emeritus who has taught English as a second language for 32 years at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville.

Anwar F. Accawi was born on June 15, 1943, in Lebanon.

Education

In 1969, Accawi received a Bachelor of Arts from Warren Wilson College and a Master of Science from the University of Tennessee in 1987.

Career

Accawi taught in the United States and Lebanon, namely at the National Evangelical Institute, Sidon High School, and the American University of Beirut before coming to the University of Tennessee in 1979. He also trained English second language teachers. Currently, Accawi is a Professor Emeritus at the University of Tennessee.

His book, The Boy from the Tower of the Moon, was published in 1999, and L'Enfant de la Tour de la Lune came out in 2010.
