She moved to Nashville, Tennessee in 2000, where she became director and president of Amax Talent of Nashville. She also modeled for the company. Russell has appeared on East! Entertainment, TLC, Country Music Television, television Guide Network, Big Ten Network, and The Shop At Home Network.

She has also starred in numerous music videos, ad campaigns, and is currently the face of Pur Minerals Make-up.

Russell has been a broadcaster on Yahoo! and Rivals.com online sports news, and appeared on the Yahoo! Sports Minute.
