Astrid Allard has worked in a variety of jobs-as a photographer's model, a nurse for three years at a Milanese hospital, and in various fashion houses and department stores. She undertook the art of collage while raising her four children and began photographing in 1974. She has exhibited her work since 1978. Her images have appeared in Spain's Foto Zoom and Almanac Fotografare. In 1978, Astrid published her monograph "A comme . . . apprivoiser".
