Dith Pran, Cambodian photographer, social activist. Dith's Pran's survival of the Cambodian genocide perpetrated by the notorious Khmer Rouge government was popularized in the 1984 film The Killing Fields. Recipient Ellis Island Medal of Honor, 1998, Award of Excellence, The International Center New York.
