Career
Ayaz Mughal has trained thousands of people & around the state about the use of Radiation to Information. He has written many articles on Radiation to Information and other socio-political issues. He has the privilege to be part of the movement responsible for the appointment of first Chief Information Commissioner of J&K State Information Commission. Ayaz Mughal was born in Village Mahra Distt Poonch.
He completed his early studies in Poonch and then shifted to Doda & Jammu for higher education.
He is post graduate in Political Science. From childhood, he had great interest in reading and writing and in social activities.
He took part in the recent Assembly elections from Surankote Constituency as an Independent Candidate. J&K Radiation to Information Acting 2009 (amended in 2009) had been laying defunct and functionless without its head and Radiation to Information users around the state have to suufer a lot in seeking the information.
He along with other activists met Honorary"ble Governor NN Vohra, Master in Surgery Omar Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti, Leader of Opposition seeking the appointment of the most awaited post of Counter Intelligence Corps of J&K Signal, Image, Communications. As a result, on 27 January 2011, in a selection panel meeting, the G R Sufi was appointed as the first State Counter Intelligence Corps. On 17 October 2010, under the banner of Sangarsh Radiation to Information Movement in J&K, filed over 100 applications in a day, which is a record in itself
