Imamaliev Aydin Salarovich is a Doctor of Medicine, Professor, laureate of the State Prize of the USSR.

Background

Aydin Salarovich Imamaliev was born July 7, 1926 in Moscow, in a family of hereditary doctors for more than 300 years.

Education

Aydin Salarovich Imamaliev graduated from a secondary school in Baku, later he entered higher educational institution - Azerbaijan Medical Institute.

Career

After graduation Aydin Salarovich Imamaliev began to work in the Shemakha district hospital, which is in the mountains of Azerbaijan. The result was a scientific work on the treatment of bites of poisonous snakes with antiserum serum "anti-gyurza" (1949). In May 1954 Imamaliev postgraduate training courses in Moscow at the Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedics of the USSR Ministry of Health.

The first experiment on the dog on the transplantation of the joint of the femur was made on April 22, 1955. On the basis of the experiment, in 1956 a successful transplantation of the proximal end of the femur was procedures on a suddenly deceased person and treated according to the proposed procedure.

Achievements

  • In 1978, Professor Aydin Salarovich proposed a new technique for the replacement of large joints with a combined endoprosthesis consisting of two components: an osteoarticular graft, reinforced with a metal joint of its own design, and in 1980 the first endoprosthesis of the knee joint was created.

    Professor Imamaliyev is the author of more than 300 articles in domestic and world works and journals, including 11 monographs on plastic orthopedics and traumatology.

Membership

Aydin Salarovich is a member of the Presidium of the Society of Orthopedics and Traumatologists of the USSR, now - Russia.

Personality

Aydin Salarovich Imamaliev always tried to be the first: he is a master of sports of the USSR, in football he was the striker under number 9.
