Yamamoto Baiitsu was a painter to Owari Clan (Aichi Prefecture) and modeled his paintings after the masters of the Yuan and Ming dynasties of China. He was excelled in painting flowers, birds and landscapes. His paintings were somewhat on the vulgar side. Chikudo Nakabayashi was his contemporary and rival in fame.
