Career
Belinda was first runner the year before to Meagan Winings Mission Nebraska 2009, who would later crown Wright as her successor. Belinda Wright, 21, represented Nebraska at the pageant in Las Vegas, Nevada on May 16, 2010 where she competed against District of Colombia and fifty other delegates. Wright made the first cut by advancing to the top 15 on the finals competing in the swimsuit round.
Belinda was ranked as 8/1 in Vegas as favorites to take home the crown from the Midwestern United States.
Many fans believe Wright should have advance further in the competition but she received rather low scores from the judges. Wright’s reign ended October
24, 2010, when she helped crown Mission Nebraska United States of America 2011. Wright said the end was bittersweet, but she doesn’t plan to compete in any more pageants.
After her December 2010 University of Nebraska-Lincoln graduation, her plans include graduate school and possibly a different side of pageant work.
