(Edgar Malroy is the founder of a metaphysical betting sho...)
Edgar Malroy is the founder of a metaphysical betting shop. A weary atheist, Edgar challenges people to put their money where their mouths are about their faith. If someone really believes that the 16th reincarnation of the Dalai Lama is the one true incarnation, or that God is love, or that his grandfather's spirit lives in a tree, Edgar reasons he should be willing to bet money on it. Edgar is right. The metaphysical betting shops become incredibly popular as people of all faiths rush to outdo each other. After placing a bet, the bettor is given a receipt verifying the bet and amount, and a button with a question mark, stamped "Who knows?" It's no wonder that Edgar goes on to become the richest man in the world. As the competitive rage spreads, the betting shops indirectly cause a dangerous faith war, resulting in multiple popes, a beautiful messianic woman who claims to be God's messenger, and a technological meltdown with artificially intelligent home appliances. Meanwhile, there's an optimistic supermarket trolley climbing Mt. Everest, looking for God...

(Japs Eye Fontanelle, an 88-year-old overweight, retired J...)
Japs Eye Fontanelle, an 88-year-old overweight, retired Japanese kamikaze pilot, insists that he is the rightful king of the Holy Channel Island of Jersey. He also claims to be the Creator of the Universe. This is his autobiography, written while under armed guard inside the gold vault at Fort Knox. Fontanelle recounts his truly remarkable life: from his birth in the city of Kyoto and his involvement in World War II, to his study of the ancient science of astrology, the historic discovery of his own divinity, and the founding of the first Astrological Kingdom on Earth. Occasionally, when he isn't busy creating galaxies, he takes a break to watch "Star Trek". Structured in twelve meticulously-researched, hilariously funny zodiacal chapters-and padded with photo inserts revealing such delights as God returning from his ninth suicide mission, Shinto monks, and God's genitals. The Astrological Diary of God is a savage and irreverent take on modern belief.

(Father Herbert and his brothers had been making Glow-In-T...)
Father Herbert and his brothers had been making Glow-In-The-Dark-Crucifixes for the glory of God in their little friary in the middle of nowhere in particular for as long as anyone could remember. Until one rainy Sunday morning. That particular morning the friars found a curious Post-It-Note stuck to the church door when they arrived for prayers. That night, under a great panoply of stars, as he brushed his teeth, Father Herbert sensed that a great mystery was before him... a mystery in someway entwined with himself.

("A compact collection of more than 1,500 of Fowler's fuls...)
"A compact collection of more than 1,500 of Fowler's fulsome and funny fulminations against faith. Fowler follows in the foot steps of anti-theological philosophers like Nietzsche... Yes life can seem quite meaningless, and there's nowhere we go after we die, but here are some interesting things to think about in the meantime." - James Geary author of Geary's Guide to the World's Great Aphorists.

Bo Fowler was born on September 8, 1971 in London, England, United Kingdom. He is a son of Malcolm and Nancy Fowler.
Bo Fowler holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in philosophy from Bristol University. He also has a Master of Arts degree in creative writing. Fowler has a Doctor of Philosophy degree in critical and creative writing from the University of East Anglia.
Bo Fowler used his first two novels as platforms to critique the world’s organized religions. Fowler, an accomplished student of philosophy, penned Scepticism, Inc. in 1998, and, a year later, followed with The Astrological Diary of God. Because of their complicated and controversial subject matter, both works, which openly mock the tenets of organized religion, drew a wide range of criticism from reviewers. He also an author of The Philosophy of Stars (2011) and Notes From the Autopsy of God (2011).
As an artist, he makes pictures on pseudo religious themes heavily influenced by the 15th Century Netherlandish Realism school of painting. Around 2010 he began seriously experimenting with assemblage but it was not until the summer of 2014, after finding solutions to a series of artistic puzzles and conundrums, that he began producing his current body of work – which now includes around forty pieces.

1998Bo Fowler describes himself as an "optimistic nihilist". He said "Philosophically I would describe myself as an optimistic nihilist or a jaded humanist. Nietzsche is my philosophical idol and my collection of Aphorisms, Notes From The Autopsy of God, which I have been tweeting recently, is very Nietzschian in style. "
Bo Fowler describes himself as "bleeding heart liberal".
Bo Fowler's influences include Friedrich Nietzsche, Kurt Vonnegut and Richard Brautigan. He said "My writing, I am sometimes told, is reminiscent of the late great Kurt Vonnegut. This should come as no shock since it was Vonnegut who inspired me to become a writer. I found a battered old copy of Slapstick, or Lonesome No More in my year off before college in a second hand book shop in the back streets of Katmandu…as you do." He also said "Another important influence on my work is the also late and also great Richard Brautigan. Brautigan’s writing never ceases to amaze me; even though I have read his work many times, (and read him often to my students) his casual inventive turn of phrase - his sheer audacity with the written word still leaves me breathless."
Bo Fowler is a member of the Rationalist Press Association (now the Rationalist Association).
