Bola Akindele was born on November 25, 1963 in the city of Ibadan, Oyo State.
He grew up in Lagos, Nigeria and attended Ansar-Ud-deen College, Isolo, Lagos from 1974-1979. He is an alumnus of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Agriculture.
He is the Group Managing Director of Courteville Business Solutions, a provider of information technology, consulting, and business process outsourcing services. He was recognized as one of the "21 Nigerian tech Chief executive officers at the top of their game" by the African Business Central magazine. He holds a masters degree in Banking & Finance from the University of Lagos in 1993 and also holds a Doctorate of Business Administration (Doctor of Business Administration) from the International School of Management, Paris.
He is also an alumnus of the London Business School and the Lagos Business School.
In his early career, Bola Akindele has worked with the Central Bank of Nigeria, and the now defunct Oceanic Bank, as Group Head, Commercial Banking and with the Fountain Trust Bank in Nigeria as the Divisional Head, Markets. He had previously interned with Klynveld Peat Marwick Goerdeler-Peat Marwick Ani Ogunde & Company, Nigeria as a Senior Audit Trainee.
In 2004, he became the Chief Executive Officer of Courteville Investment Limited. The company underwent a name change to become Courteville Business Solutions Public Limited Company in 2011, and he became the Group Managing Director.
He has been credited with expanding the company into operating in 20 states in Nigeria and operating over 200 franchises.
Bola Akindele has been awarded an Honorary Fellowship from Ravensbourne College, United Kingdom for his outstanding impact on the educational system in Africa. Bola Akindele who is currently a board member of the East Africa Business Network (EABN) was named as one of the 21 Nigerian Chief executive officers in the Technology sector who have been making waves in Nigeria and beyond In 2015, he was honored with the Titans Of Technical Merit Award for his input in the technological development in Nigeria.
He is a member of the board of advisors of the East Africa Business Network (EABN).
