Painted biblical images of Jewish life. Emigrated and settled in Vienna, 1978. Many exhibitions in European galleries.
Under Gorbachev’s glasnost, went to Leningrad on a short visit. The day after his arrival, died from a heart attack (brought on, according to some, by an excess of emotion).
