Boris Alexandrovich Diyakov was born on June 1, 1902 in Voronezh.
Since 1920 he worked in various, mostly administrative positions in provincial institutions. From August, 1929 he worked for the newspaper "Kommuna". Diakov's popular scientific essay "The Revolution in Poultry Industry" (Voronezh, 1932) is devoted to the experiments of Professor A.L. Chizhevsky. He participated in the Karakum motor rally in 1933. Since 1935 he was an employee of the newspaper "Stalingradskaya pravda".
He served in the army during the Civil War and the Great Patriotic War. After the Great Patriotic War he lived in Moscow, worked at the Board of the Union of Writers of the RSFSR. In 1949, he was unreasonably repressed and sentenced to 10 years in forced labor camps.
Author of many books, including "Hero of the Kara-Kum" (Voronezh, 1934), "Golden Lakes" (Stalingrad, 1936), "Heroes of Krasnodon" (Moscow, 1944), "Descendants of Prometheus" (Moscow, 1985).
