Since 2003, he serves as the Utah House Majority Leader. Early Life and Born May 5, 1950, Dee holds a Bachelor of Arts in public relations from Weber State University and an Master of Arts in human resources from the University of Phoenix. Dee is a Latter-day Saint.
Dee was first elected to the Utah House of Representatives in 2002 and began serving January 1, 2003.
In 2012 he was re-elected the House of Representatives after beating Democratic candidate Pamela Udy with 68.1% of the vote. During the 2014 General Session Dee was the House Majority leader and served on the Legislative Management Committee as well as the House Natural Resources, Agriculture and Environment Committee.
During the 2014 Legislative Session Dee sponsored and passed HB0155 Utah Communication Agency Network and Utah 911 Committee Amendments which better coordinated 911 calls and dispatch centers in Utah.
He is a Republican member of the Utah State House, representing the state"s 11th house district in Ogden.
