Career
Raised in Queensland, his poems, short stories and other written works have been published in Australia, New Zealand, the United States, Canada, U.K, France, India and Slovenia. A multitude of his poems, paintings and photographs can be found on his website,
Brentley has been a guest at numerous literary festivals, poetry readings and culture conserves, including: The Sydney Poetry Festival, Brisbane Writers Festival, The Wellington International Poetry Festival, The Oxfam Bookfest in London and "Spoken" at the State Library of Queensland. In 2006 he completed a Master of Arts at James Cook University under the supervision of Lindsay Simpson.
Currently he is a Doctor of Philosophy Candidate at Griffith University under the supervision of Nigel Krauth and the poet Anthony Lawrence.
