Main research and publications have been in the area of labour economics and particularly the analysis and measurement of sex discrimination. Have become increasingly concerned with hiring/ promotion decisions as they operate at the level of the individual enterprise. More recently I have become concerned with organisational efficiency under alternative institutional arrangements, e.g.
State entrance and workers’ co-operatives.
