After graduating from Keio University joined the Mitsui Bank and concomitantly succeeded to his father’s business, besides being a director of Ikao Cable Co. and several others. Budayu Kogure entered politics (1924) and since then has been elected to the House of Representatives eight times as member of Liberal Party, and was vice-minister of Ministry of Commerce and Industry (1937). Elected to the House of Councilors (1956).
