Geronca received a Bachelor of Science degree in Commerce and Business Administration from the University of Negros Occidental – Recoletos in 1967.
Geronca began her career as a senior real estate appraiser at Community Redevelopment Agency in 1970. Since 1990, she is a president at Carmelina-Michael Appraisal Company, Inc. In 1992, Carmelina was a professional advisor at Science Museum School and a project manager at Manual Arts Elementary School.
