He was trained in architecture abroad, and after was awarded his diploma at the Ecole des Beaux Arts in Paris.
After graduation in Paris he continued to reside in the city. During the first World War Mr. Greenough designed a number of Army Hospitals in France, later collaborated in preparing plans for the American Church in Paris of which Ralph Adams Cram was architect. After returning to the U. S. in 1924 he maintained an office in New York for a time and devoted his attention mainly to work on Housing Projects.
