Chang Ha is a South Korean educator. He is a Distinguished Professor in the Department of Polymer Science and Engineering at Pusan National University.

Background

Ha was born on January 30, 1956 in Pusan, South Korea; the son of Won Do Ha and Bong Soon (Eh) Ha.

Education

Chang-Sik Ha received a Bachelor of Science degree from Pusan National University in 1978. Two years later he earned his Master of Science degree and a Doctor of Philosophy degree in 1987 from Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology.

Career

Ha began his career as an engineer at Lucky Chemical Company Ltd. in 1982. The same year he took a position of an instructor and an assistant professor at Pusan National University. Seven years later Chang was appointed an associate professor at the same university. Since 1994 he was a professor at Pusan National University. He worked as a director at Pioneer Research Center for Nano grid Materials. Nowadays Ha is a Distinguished Professor in the Department of Polymer Science and Engineering at Pusan National University.

Achievements

  • Ha has authored 660 papers, 40 patents and 22 book chapters, which were published in peer reviewed journals.

Ha is a member of Korean Academy of Sciences Technology, National Academy of Engineering of Korea, American Chemical Society, American Physical Society, New York Academy of Sciences, Polymer Society of Korea, Japan Society of Polymer Science, Korean Institute of Rubber Industries.
