Rust, Charles Herbert was born on December 18, 1869 in Winchester, Massachusetts, United States. Son of Charles M. and Mary Louise Rust.


Public schools and Gordon School (now Gordon College and Divinity School), Boston, and Rochester (New York) Theological Seminary.


Ordained Baptist ministry, 1898. Home missionary work, 1894-1906. Pastor Second Church, Rochester, New York, 1906, then Immanuel Church, Scranton, Pennsylvania, Plymouth Congressional Church, Worcester, Massachusetts, 1925.
