Dahlquist has been involved in Scouting most of his life and is a recipient of the Silver Buffalo Award, the highest honor the Boy Scouts of America can bestow on an adult for service to youth. Dahlquist has a bachelor"s degree from Brigham Young University and a Juris Doctor from the University of Utah. Dahlquist has been involved in medical malpractice defense and risk managagement law.
Dahlquist has been the honorary consul for Germany since 2000.
