Stone, Charles Francis was born on May 21, 1843 in Cabot, Vermont, United States. Son of Levi H. and Mary C. (Osgood) Stone.

Education

Bachelor of Arts, Middlebury College, 1869. Studied law with Honorary Johann Wolfgang Stewart, Middlebury, and Judge Ellery A. Hibbard, Laconia. Admitted to bar, 1872.

Career

Began practice at Laconia, 1872. Chairman Democratic State Committee, 1882-1890. Member N.H. House of Representatives, 1883-1884, 1887-1888.

Candidate for Congress, 1892. Naval officer port of Boston, 1894-1898. Democratic candidate for government of N.H., 1898.

Received full party vote for United States Senate in Legislature of 1898-1899. Judge Superior Court of N.H., since 1901. Address: Laconia, N.H.
