Ordained 1857; Curate of Quebec Cathedral, 1857-1858. Incumbent St. Peter’s, Quebec, 1858-1864. Rector of St. Matthew’s, Quebec, 1864-1885.
Prolocutor of Provincial Synod, 1882-1885. Bishop of Niagara, 1885-1896. Chairman of House of Bishops and Metropolitan of the Ecclesiastical Province of Canada—which carries with it the title and rank of Archbishop of his sees.
