Nile Expedition, 1884-1885 (despatches, Brevet Lieutenant-Colonel, clasp). Soudan, 1885-1886; Suakin, 1888 (despatches, Brevet Colonel, clasp). Tokar, 1891 (clasp, Khedive’s star, 2nd class Medjidie).
Governor of Red Sea Littoral (2nd class Osmanieh). Commandant at Suakim, 1888-1892. Commandant of Forces in Victoria, 1894. Retired.
