General engineering work, including Michigan State College buildings, 1933-1939. City assessor, Lansing, Michigan, 1939-1943. Successively assistant district engineer, district engineer, construction engineer, department state highway commissioner, Michigan State Highway Department, 1919-1933, state highway commissioner from 1943 (elected, 1943, to fill unexpired term, re-elected, 1945, 49, 53).
