He received his Master of Fine Arts from Goddard College and his Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
He is the poetry editor at The Good Men Project, and currently teaches English and creative writing at Raritan Valley Community College. His work has appeared in POETRY, CounterPunch, Tupelo Quarterly, The Baltimore Review, The Wisconsin Review, The Hawai"i Review, The Sierra Nevada Review, the Alabama Literary Review and Cold Mountain Review, among others He is openly gay.
