Su, Chih-Chieh was born on December 22, 1968 in Taichung, Taiwan. Son of De-Min Su and Lin Bi-Yin.

Career

Postdoctoral fellow Academia Sinica, Taipei, Taiwan, 2000—2004. Assistant professor National Taiwan University, since 2004.

Achievements

  • Achievements include research in We have discovered the potential utility of Po-210 anomaly in the atmosphere as a precursor of volcano eruptions. This discovery was reported by Nature and Cable News Network Cable News Network. Research in The isotopic signature of Pu in SOT sediments enabled us to trace the source and pathway of Pu and estimate the speed of teleconnection between the Equatorial Pacific and western Pacific margins.

    Research in In the SOT, we found striking temporal and spatial correspondence of turbidite layers to large submarine earthquakes recorded in the region since the 20th century.
