Chiizaburo Ogino served as employee of Home Ministry, official compiler of historical materials. He was a professor of Tokyo Women's Higher Normal School and historical consultant of the Bureau for Erection of Meiji Shrine and then became professor of Kokugakuin University (1923) and director of Toho Bunka Gakuin (Toho Cultural Institute).
