Ching-an Lao was sent back to America in 1919 as representative of the Company to sell wood oil for the firm, secretary of the Chinese delegation to the International Red Cross Conference held at Geneva, Switzerland in 1920. He also joined the Bank of Canton in 1921, appointed New York agent of the bank to open an office there in 1921-1922, secretary of the foreign department at the head office of the Bank at Canton, China in 1922, assistant manager of the exchange department of the Shanghai office of the Bank since 1923.
