In 1970 Christiaan studied at the Teachers Training College in Pretoria, South Africa. In three years he was a student of the University of Pretoria in Pretoria, South Africa. he became a Bachelor with honors. In 1986 he received a degree of the Master of Education with honors. In two years Christiaan received a degree of the Doctor of Education. In four years Christiaan became a Doctor of Philosophy of the University of Pretoria in South Africa.
Christiaan was a school psychologist at Transvaal Education Department in South Africa from 1970 to 1978. In a year he became a lecturer educator of the University of Pretoria in Pretoria, South Africa. He worked there until 1986. In this year he became a professor. Since 1986 he worked as a head of the department of school guidance at the University of Pretoria in Pretoria, South Africa.
From 1986 to 1990 Christiaan worked as the head of Olienhout Residence at the University of Pretoria in Pretoria, South Africa. Since 1994 he was the head of the medical residence I and II. In a year he worked as a director of the Career Planning Center. From 1993 to 1995 Christiaan was a psychologist of the Optima College for Blind in Pretoria, South Africa.
Christiaan belongs to the Dutch reformed church.
