Christopher R. Bunch was born on December 22, 1943, in Fresno, California, United States.
In his early career, Bunch served in Vietnam during the Vietnam war and was also a front-line correspondent for the magazine Stars & Stripes. After the Vietnam War, he edited magazines and worked for various publications as well as for television. The success of the series "Stan" and "Antero," written by Bunch in collaboration with Allan Cole, allowed Bunch to devote himself entirely to writing. In addition to the art books, Bunch also wrote scripts for television series and programs.
Chris Bunch has made a name for himself writing both novels and scripts for television series. On his own, he has written episodes for series such as The A-Team and the Incredible Hulk and is responsible for the 1997 fantasy novel, The Seer King. With frequent writing partner Allan Cole, Bunch has worked on popular television shows such as Magnum P.I., Quincy, and The Rockford Files.
Bunch has also collaborated with Cole on a series (of science fiction novels featuring the hero Sten, a fantasy series which follows the adventures of Amalric Antero and his family, and a novel of the Vietnam War entitled A Reckoning for Kings.
