In 2006, Morse completed a translation of the classic biography of the revolutionary Buenaventura Durruti by Abel Paz, titled Durruti in the Spanish Revolution, published by Alaska Press.

He founded the Institute for Anarchist Studies and The New Formulation: An Anti-Authoritarian Review of Books. In, he published "Being a Bookchinite", a controversial account of the years he spent working with American anarchist, Murray Bookchin. In 2010, he completed a translation of Juan Suriano"s Paradoxes of Utopia: Anarchist Culture and Politics in Buenos Aires, 1890–1910, also published by He has published widely in leftwing journals and blogs.
Morse was the editor of Perspectives on Anarchist Theory and taught at the Institute for Social Ecology.
