Chu, Chung-Bin was born on September 3, 1923 in Tchungnam, Republic of Korea. Son of Seoung-no and Manrye (Whang) Chu.

Professor orthopedics, Yonsei U. Medical College, Seoul, 1957-1964; director, Severance Rehabilitation Center, Seoul, 1963-1964; consultant, Department National Defense, Seoul, 1957-1965; private practice orthopedic surgery, Seoul, since 1964. Founder, chairman Manrye Foundation, Seoul, 19754-84. Chairman Seoul Congress Western Pacific Orthopedic Association, 1972, charter member, since 1962, member editorial board, 1962-1988.
