Dupuis was drafted by the Quebec Nordiques in the 1974 WHA Amateur Draft, selected 113th overall. Claude Dupuis" played a "workmanlike, two-way" style of play while with the Maine Nordiques. Claude Dupuis is the father of National Hockey League veteran Pascal Dupuis, who has played over 800 National Hockey League games.
